If you're moving between countries, estimate data for the whole trip before splitting it into separate plans. Our Asia 7 Areas fixed-data options use one allowance across the included countries, so a quiet day in Singapore can leave more for a busy day in Vietnam.
The planner above can help you start. Enter your arrival and departure dates, choose how you'll use your phone and say whether you'll need hotspot. Its data range is approximate, and the result includes a planning buffer. Read any limit shown beside a recommendation before choosing it.
Which countries are included?
The Asia 7 Areas eSIM covers Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Laos isn't included. Neither are Japan or South Korea. If one of those is on your route, this allowance won't supply that stop's data. Choose a separate suitable plan for it or a broader offer that explicitly includes the full route.
An included country doesn't establish reception on every road, island or crossing. Save essential onward-travel details offline before you leave a working connection.
A two-week example
Suppose your route is Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam over 14 days, and you allow these amounts before a buffer:
| Stop | Example data budget |
|---|---|
| Singapore | 1.2GB |
| Malaysia | 2GB |
| Vietnam | 3GB |
| Total | 6.2GB |
| Total plus 25% | 7.75GB |
A 10GB/30-day plan at A$34.95 covers that budget and trip length. After consuming 1.2GB in Singapore, 8.8GB remains in the same pool for the included later stops. You don't have to make the allowance divide neatly by country.
Use your own planner result or recent data history in place of those example amounts. A trip with more video or sharing may need a larger allowance.
Current total-data options
| Allowance | Validity | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 1GB | 7 days | A$8.73 |
| 3GB | 30 days | A$19.76 |
| 5GB | 30 days | A$31.46 |
| 10GB | 30 days | A$34.95 |
| 20GB | 30 days | A$56.66 |
For this example, 5GB isn't enough even before the buffer. The current jump from 5GB to 10GB costs A$3.49, which is worth comparing before choosing the smaller option. That's a checked price difference, not a promise that the same gap will always apply.
If your recent phone use is a better guide, divide the total by the measured days, multiply by your travel days and add the buffer once. For example, 6GB over 30 days for a 14-day trip is 6 ÷ 30 × 14 × 1.25 = 3.5GB. The 5GB option covers that different estimate. Add any travel use missing from the history, especially uploads, streaming or a laptop.
Daily plans and a laptop need separate attention
A total allowance lets use vary between days. A daily high-speed offer instead limits high-speed use on each plan day; spare capacity elsewhere in the trip doesn't solve one unusually busy day. The current Asia 7 daily details don't name a precise reset clock. If a particular refresh time matters, don't assume midnight; a fixed total lets you spread the allowance across the trip without relying on that reset.
Hotspot availability on the Asia 7 fixed options in the table depends on the network and device. If sharing is essential, ask us to confirm the exact option and any cap before buying it for that purpose. If we can't establish the fit, keep essential laptop work on a separately arranged connection.
For trips confined to Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, the five-country Unlimited offer has confirmed hotspot support with no separate sharing allowance: currently A$44.95 for seven days or A$69.95 for 15 days. It doesn't cover Cambodia or the Philippines. Our regional-versus-separate comparison works through an actual route and cost choice.
Buy within the start window
The fixed-data offers in the table have a 180-day purchase-to-start window. Running validity begins at the first supported network connection, not each time you cross into another included country.
Buy before departure and save the setup email. Install after landing on working airport Wi-Fi, or hotel/another steady trusted connection if the airport connection won't work. Our installation guide covers the device steps. One shared allowance is handy; you can save your organisational energy for finding the right departure gate.
