Will an eSIM work on my phone?
Your exact phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Support can vary by model and where it was bought. Check your phone before you buy.
Does it include an Indonesian phone number?
These plans are data-only unless the selected offer says otherwise. Don’t assume they include a local number, ordinary calls or SMS. You can use internet-based messaging and calling apps over mobile data.
Can I keep my Australian number and WhatsApp?
You can generally keep your Australian SIM and existing WhatsApp account while using the travel eSIM for data. Calls, SMS and any roaming charges on your Australian line still depend on your telco and phone settings. Follow the setup guide for keeping the two lines separate.
When should I install my eSIM?
Buy before departure and save your setup email. Install after landing, once you have working Wi-Fi and can open a webpage. If airport Wi-Fi won’t work, wait for hotel Wi-Fi or another steady trusted connection.
Can I use it elsewhere in Indonesia?
Check your selected plan’s supported network and the coverage at each stop. Indonesia coverage does not promise reception everywhere, including on boat crossings or in remote areas. Trips into other countries need a separate coverage check.
