Will an eSIM work on my phone?
Your exact phone needs to support eSIM and be carrier-unlocked. Support can vary by model and where it was bought. Check your phone before you buy.
Does it include an Indonesian phone number?
These plans are data-only unless the selected offer says otherwise. Don’t assume they include a local number, ordinary calls or SMS. You can use internet-based messaging and calling apps over mobile data.
Can I keep my Australian number and WhatsApp?
You can generally keep your Australian SIM and existing WhatsApp account while using the travel eSIM for data. Calls, SMS and any roaming charges on your Australian line still depend on your telco and phone settings. Follow the setup guide for keeping the two lines separate.
When should I install my eSIM?
Buy before departure and save your setup email. Install after landing, once you have working Wi-Fi and can open a webpage. If airport Wi-Fi won’t work, wait for hotel Wi-Fi or another steady trusted connection.
Can I use the same eSIM in Nusa Lembongan, Lombok or the Gili Islands?
These places are within Indonesia, so compare an Indonesia plan for the whole itinerary. Check the selected plan’s supported network and local coverage before buying. The country being included does not guarantee reception on every island, boat crossing or remote road, and your allowance does not reset when you move between islands.
How much data do I need for two weeks in Bali?
Start with your own mobile-data use, then allow for maps, ride apps, messaging and photo uploads. For example, 500MB a day adds up to about 7GB over 14 days; 1GB a day adds up to 14GB. Video, work calls and hotspot use can increase that quickly. Choose a plan with both enough data and at least 14 days of validity, and compare the Bali data-use examples.
Can I share data with a laptop or another phone?
Check the hotspot terms for the exact plan you choose. Unlimited, fixed-data and day-pass offers can have different limits, and hotspot permission is not confirmed for every offer. Ask us about your chosen plan if sharing is essential. Each phone needs its own eSIM if it needs an independent connection.
