In this guide 4 sections
China, Hong Kong and Macao are three coverage entries on this regional plan, with one data total between them. Work out the three legs together before comparing the allowances.
The planner above gives you a starting estimate from dates, phone-use choices and any sharing. If no destination is selected, choose it first. Check both the amount of data and the number of usable days in its returned options; an allowance has to cover the trip as well as the estimated use.
Keep the three-place total together
For an illustrative ten-day trip across the three places, choose 1.2GB for China, 1.6GB for Hong Kong and 0.4GB for Macao. The 3.2GB total becomes 4GB after adding a 25% buffer.
Those are planning inputs, not a measured average. Use your own expected transfers or the planner estimate for a personal budget. If you use the planner result instead, its buffer is already included; don’t add the same 25% again.
The 5GB/30-day option covers this assumed 4GB and ten-day trip. Coverage and app access remain different questions: a plan listing China doesn’t establish that an unrelated payment, banking or streaming service will accept the connection.
Put the amount beside the period
| Current option | Period | Price | Fit for this example |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3GB | 30 days | A$21.95 | Not enough data for this example |
| 5GB | 30 days | A$34.95 | Enough data and days for this example |
| 10GB | 30 days | A$64.95 | Enough data and days for this example |
| 20GB | 30 days | A$119.95 | Enough data and days for this example |
Match the places and the plan structure
The selected fixed-data option lists: Macao, Hong Kong, China.
This is one allowance to use across the listed places. It does not refill each day or at a border. That lets you use more on a busy day and less on a quiet one. A daily plan works differently: you get a fresh fast-data allowance on its own daily schedule.
If you need a laptop connection, confirm sharing for the exact plan, phone and any separate data limit before buying. These offers make sharing dependent on the network and device, so enough gigabytes alone do not promise it will work. If we cannot confirm the work connection you need, arrange another suitable service for that task.
Keep the big downloads on Wi-Fi
Download entertainment and offline maps on Wi-Fi before travel. Pause cloud-photo backup and automatic app updates on mobile data. If those uploads were already in your starting usage total, don’t add them to the budget a second time.
For the actual offer, open China, Hong Kong and Macao plans. Buy before flying and save the setup email; install after landing on working airport Wi-Fi, hotel Wi-Fi or another steady, trusted connection.
