An ICCID is the serial number that identifies a SIM or one eSIM profile. It belongs to the plan profile, not the phone and not the eSIM hardware inside it. The IMEI identifies the phone, the EID identifies the eSIM hardware, and the ICCID identifies the SIM or profile using it.
What this detail tells you, and what it does not
Use the order number first when contacting support, then provide an ICCID only if support asks for it. Once you know what this part of the setup controls, the next action should be smaller and less mysterious. Keep a label, a phone setting and a plan promise separate: none of them alone proves compatibility, coverage, price or the right time to install. That distinction is what stops a simple question becoming an expensive guess.

iPhone
Start at Settings > General > About. Apple lists device identifiers there; use only the exact item support asks for and keep the full value private.
Samsung Galaxy
Open Settings > About phone. If the detail is not visible, use Samsung’s device-information route or ask support which identifier is needed before copying anything.
Google Pixel
Open Settings > About phone and look for the device or SIM information requested. Labels can vary by Android version, so do not substitute a different number just because it is easier to find.
Other Android
Open Settings > About phone or search Settings for the exact identifier. Keep it private. Only share it if support asks, never in a public comment or social message.
Keep this detail private and specific
- Do not assume ICCIDs are always shown in the same place or can safely be posted.
- Do not confuse ICCID with an activation code or EID.
