For the journey
China eSIM data for the journey
Keep the hotel address close, look up the next train and translate the menu before ordering. From a few city days to a longer trip, choose a validity that covers your whole stay. Save important addresses and tickets offline for moments when reception drops.
Messages and calls in apps use your data. Standard calls, SMS and a local number need a separate mobile service.
Compare the available plans
Choose your trip length, then compare the available unlimited plans. Check the selected plan’s speed, hotspot allowance, any reduced-speed terms and start window.
Maps, translations and bookings all use data. Start with the length of your China trip, then compare the selected plan’s speed, fair-use and hotspot terms.

Does this include Hong Kong or Macau?
This page is for China coverage. For Hong Kong or Macau, compare a regional plan that explicitly lists those stops.
Will every app and website work?
A data plan is not a guarantee that a particular app or website will be accessible. Keep essential travel details available offline.
Choosing unlimited data for China
Maps, translations and bookings all use data. Start with the length of your China trip, then compare the selected plan’s speed, fair-use and hotspot terms.
Data for your whole China trip
Choose 7, 15 or 30 days of unlimited data, with no daily reset or total data cap. Typical roaming speeds are 10–20Mbps; actual speeds depend on your phone, location and the supported network.
Sharing data with another device
Personal hotspot is supported with no separate hotspot allowance. Share data with a laptop or another phone when you need to; performance depends on the network and your devices.
Unlimited plans and fixed data
Fixed-data plans have one total allowance to use during their validity. Compare the price and allowance with the selected unlimited offer’s service limits.
When your plan starts
Use the eSIM within 60 days of purchase. Its 7-, 15- or 30-day validity starts when it first connects to a supported network. Moving between included countries does not restart the validity. These are data-only plans: ordinary calls, SMS and a local phone number are not included. Messaging and calling apps use your data.
Before you travel
Choose a plan long enough for your trip, check its start window and use Phone Check to confirm eSIM support. Save your setup email before leaving. Land, join airport Wi-Fi, then follow the setup email. If airport Wi-Fi is unavailable, use hotel Wi-Fi or another steady trusted connection.
We will guide you through one quick check at a time without leaving this plan.

Where was the phone bought?
On this phone, is there an Add eSIM option?
iPhone: Settings > Cellular, Mobile, Mobile Service or Mobile Data > Set Up Mobile or Add eSIM. Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Add SIM > Set up an eSIM. Galaxy: Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM. Do not tap through or start setup before departure.
Can you find an EID in Settings?
iPhone: Settings > General > About. Pixel: Settings > About phone > SIM status. Galaxy: Settings > About phone > Status information. Seeing an EID can help, but it does not confirm compatibility on its own. Never type or send the number here.
Can this phone use another provider's SIM or eSIM?
This means it is not locked to one mobile provider. It is different from your screen passcode.
