We’ll email your setup details when your eSIM is ready. Save the email for your arrival.
Wait until you have landed before using Quick Install, scanning the QR code, entering the manual code or activating the eSIM.
After you land
Connect to Wi-Fi. Then install.
Join the airport’s passenger Wi-Fi and complete its sign-in screen. Open a webpage to check you’re connected.
Then open your SIM Shop setup email and follow the instructions to install and activate your eSIM.
Before you go onlineSelect your travel eSIM for mobile data and turn on Data Roaming for that eSIM. Keep data roaming off on your usual SIM.
Wi-Fi not working? Wait for hotel Wi-Fi or another steady, trusted connection before installing.

Check that your phone supports eSIM and is network unlocked before buying.
For the journey
USA eSIM data for the journey
For Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas or New York, keep your first accommodation address, transfer instructions and booking confirmations saved on the phone. A road trip needs a different plan: download maps for the stretches between towns and do not depend on a live connection in national parks or remote areas.
Messages and calls in apps use your data. Standard calls, SMS and a local number need a separate mobile service.
Compare the available plans
Data plansOne data allowance to use across the whole trip.
Day passesA set amount of high-speed data each day.
Choose fixed data for one allowance across the plan, or daily high-speed data for a fresh allowance at each reset. Compare the total price, reset time and reduced-speed terms before choosing.
Buy USA eSIM data before you travel. Pick the data amount that fits your trip and save the setup email, but do not tap quick install, scan the QR code, enter the manual code or activate the eSIM before departure.
City breaks and long driving days
For Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas or New York, keep your first accommodation address, transfer instructions and booking confirmations saved on the phone. A road trip needs a different plan: download maps for the stretches between towns and do not depend on a live connection in national parks or remote areas.
Travelling to Hawaii or Alaska? If the offer does not give local coverage details, ask us to confirm the selected plan before buying. The product name alone does not establish every state, territory or remote area an individual package supports.
Canada, Mexico and local phone numbers
Crossing into Canada or Mexico requires those countries to be explicitly included in your chosen offer. A USA and Canada plan can be worth comparing for a two-country route, while Mexico needs its own coverage check. A data-only eSIM does not provide a US number for ordinary calls or services that require a local SMS verification code.
Daily high-speed options are day passes with a set high-speed amount each day. After that daily amount is used, speeds may reduce until the next daily reset.
These plans are data-only unless a product option says otherwise. They do not include a local phone number for standard calls or SMS. Check compatibility, coverage, validity and hotspot needs before purchase.
Recommended setup timing: buy before you fly, then install only after you land. Join the airport’s free passenger Wi-Fi where offered, complete its sign-in page and open a normal webpage to prove it works. If it is unavailable or unstable, wait for hotel Wi-Fi or another steady trusted connection. Open your SIM Shop setup email and install only when that Wi-Fi test works.
We will guide you through one quick check at a time without leaving this plan.

Where was the phone bought?
On this phone, is there an Add eSIM option?
iPhone: Settings > Cellular, Mobile, Mobile Service or Mobile Data > Set Up Mobile or Add eSIM. Pixel: Settings > Network & internet > SIMs > Add SIM > Set up an eSIM. Galaxy: Settings > Connections > SIM manager > Add eSIM. Do not tap through or start setup before departure.
Can you find an EID in Settings?
iPhone: Settings > General > About. Pixel: Settings > About phone > SIM status. Galaxy: Settings > About phone > Status information. Seeing an EID can help, but it does not confirm compatibility on its own. Never type or send the number here.
Can this phone use another provider's SIM or eSIM?
This means it is not locked to one mobile provider. It is different from your screen passcode.
