Disclosure and source method

Disclosure. We are The SIM Shop and we sell the Europe eSIM discussed here. This guide explains the current 32-country range, all fifteen options and the terms to check before buying. Our own plan details and prices were checked on 15 September 2026.

The useful comparison is the plan that covers your stops for the right number of days. A bigger country count is no help if the one you need is missing.

The Europe range we sell now

Our current Europe eSIM has fixed-data and daily high-speed options. The older Europe, Europe 30+ Areas, Europe 35 Areas and Europe 40+ Areas and Morocco ranges are retired. Their old coverage lists and prices are not a guide to this product.

Here are the current options, checked 15 September 2026. Prices are in Australian dollars. Check the selected option again before paying because prices and availability can change.

Fixed data: one allowance across the plan

DataValidityPrice
1GB7 daysA$10.95
3GB30 daysA$18.95
5GB30 daysA$19.95
10GB30 daysA$31.95
20GB30 daysA$55.95
50GB30 daysA$119.95

Fixed data is one total allowance. It does not reset each day. On these current options, data stops when the allowance is used. They are non-reloadable, so do not buy on the assumption that you can top them up later.

Daily high-speed data: check the reset time

High-speed data each dayValidityPrice
1GB1 dayA$10.95
2GB1 dayA$11.95
3GB1 dayA$13.95
1GB3 daysA$20.63
2GB3 daysA$20.63
3GB3 daysA$31.07
1GB7 daysA$48.75
2GB7 daysA$48.75
3GB7 daysA$71.92

After the daily high-speed allowance, data continues at 384kbps until the next reset. That is reduced-speed data, not another full-speed allowance.

The reset is midnight in the eSIM’s UTC+8 timezone, not local European midnight. Check how that falls during your travel day before choosing a daily plan. These options are also non-reloadable.

Check every stop, including the small ones

The current coverage list is Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

If your itinerary includes somewhere outside that list, this plan does not cover that stop. Morocco and the Balkan countries that are not listed need another suitable plan. Check a country, regional or global option against the whole itinerary before buying. Do not assume a country is included because it is geographically in Europe or appeared in one of our retired ranges.

A supported country is not a promise of a signal at every campsite, mountain pass or train tunnel. The network used depends on your location, coverage and phone. Keep important bookings and maps available offline.

Which type would we choose?

For maps, messages, bookings and occasional browsing, compare the fixed-data options first. Estimate your usage from your phone’s own data history, then leave room for the things you actually do on holiday. Video, cloud backups and a laptop can change the calculation quickly.

A daily plan can suit someone who wants a fresh high-speed allowance at each reset. Compare its total price with a fixed allowance for the same trip, and check whether 384kbps after the daily threshold would meet your needs.

There are no current 90-day options in this Europe range. If you are away longer than the listed validity, plan the next period separately. Do not assume the clock pauses between countries or that buying a retired product extends it.

Four details to check before paying

Your phone. It must support eSIM and be unlocked. If you want to keep your Australian line available, check that your exact model supports both lines at once.

The start window. These current Europe options start on first network connection and must be started within 60 days of purchase. The selected option’s use-by and instructions control. Buy close enough to departure to stay within that window.

Hotspot. The current product tells you to check before buying. Hotspot use may depend on the local network and your phone. If sharing a connection is essential, ask us to confirm the selected plan’s support before you pay. Do not assume an unlimited hotspot allowance.

Installation. These eSIMs can be installed once and cannot be reinstalled if deleted. Save the email and keep the installed profile unless support tells you otherwise.

Buy before you fly. Install after you land.

Save your setup email before departure. Wait until you have landed before tapping an install link, scanning the QR code, adding or activating the eSIM.

Join airport passenger wifi, complete its sign-in page and open a normal webpage to check it works. If it is unreliable, use hotel wifi or another steady trusted connection. Then install from your setup email and follow the selected plan’s instructions.

What happens to your Australian number?

This Europe eSIM is data-only. It does not include a local number for standard calls or SMS. App messages and calls use data.

On a compatible dual-SIM phone, you can leave your Australian line enabled while the travel eSIM handles data. Check that your carrier supports international roaming on your account, turn data roaming off for the Australian line and disable automatic data switching. Calls, voicemail and sent texts may still cost extra. Bank text delivery is not guaranteed. Our bank SMS guide explains the settings and limits.

Questions before a Europe trip

Does it include the UK, Switzerland and Turkey?

Yes. All three are in the current 32-country list. Check every other stop against the list too.

Does it include Morocco?

No. The retired Europe 40+ Areas and Morocco product had a different footprint. Choose a separate suitable plan for Morocco.

Is the daily option full-speed unlimited data?

No. It provides the selected amount of high-speed data each day, then 384kbps until the UTC+8 midnight reset.

Can I top it up?

The current Europe fixed and daily options are non-reloadable. Choose enough data and validity, and plan a separate purchase if you need another period.

Should I buy a local SIM instead?

It can be a useful alternative. Compare the actual operator’s countries, roaming terms, registration requirements, validity and any voice or SMS service. A local plan may be a physical SIM or an eSIM. It does not automatically mean removing your Australian line, and crossing a border does not automatically require another SIM.

Ready to compare the actual options?

Open the current Europe plan selector, check your countries and choose your allowance. Read the selected plan’s terms before adding it to your basket.

Sources and checks

Our live Europe product page and its native variation details were checked on 15 September 2026 for all 15 listed options, prices, 32-country coverage, start windows, daily resets, reduced speeds, installation and reload terms. Our bank SMS guide supplies the Australian-line setup guidance. This article does not claim a current competitor price ranking or a tested network speed.
