A daily allowance works best when the busy days are fairly even
Our China–Hong Kong daily offer supplies 3GB at high speed per day, then 384kbps until the next reset. It covers China and Hong Kong, not Macao. The daily reset record doesn’t name an exact clock time, so don’t plan a midnight refill into the itinerary.
The current prices
| 3GB/day offer | AUD price |
|---|---|
| One day | A$16.95 |
| Three days | A$47.95 |
| Seven days | A$104.95 |
Each day has its own fast-data allowance. If you use only 500MB one day, you cannot save the rest to get 5.5GB of fast data the next day. Start this plan within 180 days after purchase; its usable days begin when it first connects to the mobile network.
Compare one data allowance for the trip
For a seven-day China–Hong Kong trip with a planned 8GB total, the broader China–Hong Kong–Macao 10GB/30-day fixed offer is A$64.95. It fits that budget with 2GB spare and costs A$40 less than the seven-day daily offer. The fixed allowance can be distributed across the trip. Both China and Hong Kong are covered; the additional Macao coverage doesn’t oblige you to visit.
For a planned 2GB every day across seven days, the total is 14GB. The daily offer’s 3GB/day fits each assumed day; a 10GB fixed pool doesn’t fit the total. Compare a larger fixed offer as well before choosing. These are planned budgets, not measured averages.
When the reset time matters
If a work upload depends on having fresh fast data at a certain time, ask us to confirm this plan’s reset time for your destination before buying. If we cannot confirm it, choose enough total-trip data for the workload so you do not have to wait for an unknown renewal time.
Hotspot is conditional on the network, plan settings and device. The daily allowance alone doesn’t confirm essential laptop sharing. Include the laptop’s planned transfer size and trip dates when asking about the offer.
Set it up after landing
Save the setup email before departure. After arrival, join steady Wi-Fi and follow that order’s instructions. Select the travel line for mobile data, keep Australian-line data roaming off unless deliberately using it, and follow the email for the travel line’s roaming/APN settings.
If data slows, compare the used amount with the daily high-speed allowance before buying anything else. An eligible extension adds valid days; it doesn’t promise a fresh high-speed bucket immediately. Keep the profile installed while the Travel Desk checks the order.
