The older Global 130+ range has its own order terms
The former Global 130+ product is withdrawn from new sale. If you already bought it, use the coverage, start deadline and running validity supplied with that order. A current destination plan doesn’t replace those terms or inherit the old footprint.
A long holiday doesn’t need every profile to last for the whole holiday
Suppose the trip is 21 days in the USA, 14 in Canada and ten in Japan: 45 days overall. Each country needs data for its own stay. A 30-day country plan can fit an individual leg even though it doesn’t cover all 45 days.
Here is a current fixed-data example using planned totals, not average-use claims:
| Leg | Planned use | Selected allowance | AUD price |
|---|---|---|---|
| USA, 21 days | 6GB | 10GB / 30 days | A$19.95 |
| Canada, 14 days | 4GB | 5GB / 30 days | A$19.95 |
| Japan, ten days | 2GB | 3GB / 30 days | A$11.95 |
The three purchases total A$51.85. They leave 4GB, 1GB and 1GB respectively against those planned amounts. The allowances are separate: unused USA data can’t refill Canada or Japan.
A regional allowance can fit the gigabytes and still fail the calendar
Our USA–Canada 10GB/30-day fixed offer is A$64.95. The combined 6GB + 4GB budget fits its amount, but the two legs span 35 days. One 30-day regional period started in the USA doesn’t reach the end of Canada. Buying a bigger 30-day bucket doesn’t fix those missing days.
For this itinerary, the separate country purchases fit the individual periods and cost less than that regional purchase before even adding Japan. For another route, one current multi-country profile may be more convenient. Price the actual periods and allowances rather than assuming “global” is automatically simpler or cheaper.
Keep purchase deadlines and installation with each leg
The selected USA 10GB offer has 60 days to start after purchase. The selected Canada 5GB and Japan 3GB offers have 180 days. Those are buying windows, not included service days.
Buy before departure and save the correct emails. Install each SIM Shop profile after arriving at the relevant destination on steady Wi-Fi. Select that profile for mobile data and follow its own settings. Don’t install the Japan profile at the first USA arrival just because all three orders are in the inbox.
Calling and the stops between countries remain separate
These are data-only offers. If you need ordinary calls on your Australian number, use its carrier service under the actual roaming terms. If you need a local number, choose a service explicitly providing it. Switching off home-line Data Roaming doesn’t settle call or voicemail charges.
A transit stop needs its own coverage only if you want to use mobile data there. Saved tickets and working airport Wi-Fi can be enough for an airside connection; leaving the airport or needing messages away from Wi-Fi can justify another suitable allowance.
For help with an existing Global order
Keep its profile installed and send the Travel Desk the order number, plan name, current country and what you need to change. Don’t delete it or buy a different destination assuming the old allowance will transfer. We need to identify the issued plan first.
