Holafly alternatives: choose around your data and sharing needs

Ubigi’s selected Japan 10GB/30-day page displayed US$16.50 when checked. Both are real fixed allowances, but those displayed currencies are different. Holafly’s current Japan page advertises 1GB of sharing per day, illustrated as 7GB across seven days. That may be enough for light sharing. It does not meet a requirement to share an assumed 10GB in that week.

The plan doesn’t set a maximum speed or routinely slow you after a set amount of use, although actual speed varies and exceptional restrictions to protect the network can still apply. It’s the relevant one of these two SIM Shop unlimited plans for the stated 10GB sharing need, without promising a speed at your hotel.

The fixed Japan 10GB offer has network/phone-dependent hotspot wording, so do not treat it as equivalent evidence of guaranteed laptop suitability. Ask us about that exact offer and device if sharing is essential; if suitability cannot be established, choose a connection whose published sharing conditions meet the requirement.

Airalo’s published unlimited policy describes a default 3GB high-speed allocation per 24 hours, followed by 1Mbps, resetting from activation time; package details can specify a different threshold. It permits personal hotspot use under that policy. The useful comparison is your busiest day, not just the trip total.

Ubigi publishes more than one unlimited structure, including whole-plan thresholds and selected offers with 5GB a day, followed by 2Mbps. Its daily version resets every 24 hours from activation. Those rules are not interchangeable: identify the exact package rather than applying a favourable threshold from a different country.

For example, a planned 4GB upload in one day exceeds Airalo’s default 3GB allocation even if the rest of the week is quiet. That is a reason to select a different exact offer or move the upload to Wi-Fi, not proof that all unlimited plans fail.

If the selected Holafly offer covers your trip and its duration-based purchase and sharing allowance suit you, there may be no useful problem to fix. Include its current cancellation conditions if your dates are uncertain. The aim is to buy the service your trip needs, rather than change providers for an extra feature you will not use.

For a SIM Shop purchase, check phone compatibility, buy within the selected start window and save the setup email. Install after landing on working airport Wi-Fi, with hotel or another steady trusted Wi-Fi connection as the fallback. The selected Japan fixed and seven-day unlimited examples above have 60 days to start, separately from running validity.
