One Japan-and-Korea profile can be convenient. Two country allowances can cost less for the same planned use, so it’s worth putting the actual amounts beside each other before choosing.
The planner above gives you a starting estimate from dates, phone-use choices and any sharing. If no destination is selected, choose it first. Check both the amount of data and the number of usable days in its returned options; an allowance has to cover the trip as well as the estimated use.
Price one profile against two fitting allowances
For an illustrative ten-day Japan-and-South-Korea trip, choose 3.8GB for the Japan leg and 1.2GB for South Korea. The 5GB combined budget becomes 6.25GB after adding a 25% buffer.
Those are planning inputs, not a measured average. Use your own expected transfers or the planner estimate for a personal budget. If you use the planner result instead, its buffer is already included; don’t add the same 25% again.
For this example, a shared 5GB plan is short and the regional 10GB/30-day option fits. Separately, Japan’s 5GB/30-day option at A$14.95 covers 3.8 × 1.25 = 4.75GB; South Korea’s 3GB/30-day option at A$13.95 covers 1.2 × 1.25 = 1.5GB. Those two cost A$28.90 together, compared with A$64.95 for regional 10GB. The A$36.05 difference buys the convenience of one shared allowance here.

Match the places and the plan structure
The selected fixed-data option lists: Japan, South Korea.
This is one allowance to use across the listed places. It does not refill each day or at a border. That lets you use more on a busy day and less on a quiet one. A daily plan works differently: you get a fresh fast-data allowance on its own daily schedule.
If you need a laptop connection, confirm sharing for the exact plan, phone and any separate data limit before buying. These offers make sharing dependent on the network and device, so enough gigabytes alone do not promise it will work. If we cannot confirm the work connection you need, arrange another suitable service for that task.
Keep the big downloads on Wi-Fi
Download entertainment and offline maps on Wi-Fi before travel. Pause cloud-photo backup and automatic app updates on mobile data. If those uploads were already in your starting usage total, don’t add them to the budget a second time.
For the actual offer, open Japan and South Korea plans. Buy before flying and save the setup email; install after landing on working airport Wi-Fi, hotel Wi-Fi or another steady, trusted connection.
