What supports a claim
For device instructions, we use manufacturer documentation. For carrier conditions, we look for the carrier’s own current guidance. For our offers, the selected plan and order-specific terms matter more than a generic destination description. Sources are linked so readers can inspect the evidence and its scope.
An accessible product page can establish what was displayed at a recorded time. It cannot prove a payment settled in a particular currency, that a network performs at a particular speed or that an account-specific benefit applies to everyone.
Dates should describe the actual check
A source-check date records when the cited information was reviewed. A price-capture date records when a price was observed. A publication or modification date does not automatically refresh every fact on the page.
Our dated price comparison preserves older capture dates and labels them. The 3 October 2026 currency correction did not represent those historical prices as fresh quotes.
Calculations and tests are different
The video-call worksheet shows its arithmetic and assumptions. Its illustrative figures are not a field test of Zoom, FaceTime or a particular destination network.
When we have not measured a result, we should not write as though we have. A useful test report needs the device, plan, place, time and method, as well as the result and its limits. A screenshot of one successful page load does not establish reliable performance throughout a country.
How this October practical-guide batch was produced
This batch used AI-assisted research, drafting and technical checks. The checks included source review, comparison with current site workflows, responsive article previews, guarded publication and live readback. This describes the production process; it is not a claim that every article was personally field-tested or independently reviewed by a telecom expert.
We avoid filling gaps with unverified promises. For example, manufacturer eSIM support does not by itself confirm that one of our phone offers works on a tablet or watch.
Corrections readers can see
On 3 October 2026 we corrected the inference that an international transaction fee proves a purchase was charged in foreign currency. An AUD transaction can also attract that fee. We removed an unsupported monthly-check promise from the price comparison and made its historical dates clearer.
We also revised older guides where their instructions no longer matched the current account controls or where broad network claims were stronger than the evidence supported. A correction should explain the changed fact, rather than merely replacing the page’s date.
Report something that needs checking
Contact the Travel Desk with the article URL, the sentence or step in question, the relevant source or offer and the date you observed it. Keep account, payment and activation details private. If the issue concerns your own purchase, include the order number so support can distinguish a general article correction from an order-specific problem.
Sources and checks
Checked 3 October 2026. Device and carrier instructions can change; the linked source and your purchased plan govern the specific service.
