Singapore eSIM setup: get connected after landing

Connect the intended Singapore data line before leaving Wi-Fi, with the route, saved arrival details and failed-test recovery kept clear.

A few days in Singapore can fit into a small data plan. The awkward bit is discovering your phone is still using the Australian SIM while you’re trying to find the hotel. Get the travel line working on Wi-Fi after landing, then test it before heading out.

Choose a plan that covers the route

The Singapore-only offer covers Singapore. A Johor Bahru outing also needs Malaysia. Compare the Singapore/Malaysia daily range with fixed-data Asia 7 Areas, which includes both, before paying for separate profiles.

Plans with a set amount of data

Each plan gives you one data allowance to use during its listed days, rather than a new allowance each morning. Prices are in Australian dollars.

AllowanceUsable periodPriceStart within
1GB7 daysA$4.95180 days
3GB30 daysA$11.95180 days
5GB30 daysA$14.9560 days

The Start within column is how long you have after buying to begin using the plan. Its usable days start when the eSIM first connects to a mobile network covered by the plan. A 30-day plan cannot be kept unused indefinitely; the purchase-to-start deadline still applies.

For a starting estimate, use our trip planner with the destination, first and last days you need data, phone-use style and sharing needs. Its estimate already includes some extra room. Choose an allowance that covers that estimate and a plan lasting for the full stay.

After landing, connect in this order

  1. Join airport Wi-Fi, finish its sign-in and open a normal webpage. If it won’t load, use hotel Wi-Fi or another steady, trusted connection before starting.
  2. Open the setup email for this order on the intended phone. Use its QR, supported quick-install or manual option. Manual fields must come from that email; don’t substitute another plan’s details.
  3. Enable the installed travel line and select it for mobile data. Turn automatic data switching off, so the Australian SIM doesn’t take over that job.
  4. Keep Australian-line Data Roaming off. Set travel-line roaming exactly as the email directs, and enter a manual APN only if that order supplies one. APN is the phone’s internet connection setting; copy the value from this email.
  5. Turn flight mode on for 30 seconds, turn it off and wait two minutes. Switch Wi-Fi off and load a normal webpage. If it opens, mobile data worked for that test. Restore Wi-Fi if you still need setup help.

If your phone menus look different

If your phone’s labels differ from the steps above, the installation guide has the current iPhone, Galaxy and Pixel paths. Match the controls to the intended travel line before changing them; if the screen is still unclear, keep the profile installed and send support that screen privately with the order and model.

If the page won't load

Keep the eSIM installed and restore Wi-Fi. Confirm the selected data line and the order’s roaming/APN settings before changing anything else. Don’t delete the profile, repeatedly scan the QR code or copy another plan’s APN.

Use the guided no-data check. If you still need us, include the order number, exact phone model, current country/location, error text and Wi-Fi-off webpage result. Say whether data worked earlier. Keep QR codes and activation details out of public messages.
