Getting connected

Land first.
Then install.

1. Before you fly

   Your setup details arrive by email.

   We’ll email your setup details when your eSIM is ready. Save the email for your arrival.

   Wait until you have landed before using Quick Install, scanning the QR code, entering the manual code or activating the eSIM.

2. After you land

   Connect to Wi-Fi. Then install.

   Join the airport’s passenger Wi-Fi and complete its sign-in screen. Open a webpage to check you’re connected.

   Then open your SIM Shop setup email and follow the instructions to install and activate your eSIM.

   Before you go onlineSelect your travel eSIM for mobile data and turn on Data Roaming for that eSIM. Keep data roaming off on your usual SIM.

   Wi-Fi not working? Wait for hotel Wi-Fi or another steady, trusted connection before installing.

For the journey

Latvia eSIM data for the journey

For a Riga city break, save the accommodation address and airport transfer details before travel. If you add Jūrmala, Sigulda or a longer drive, check the chosen operator at the actual stops. LMT's coverage guidance links its map; mapped coverage is an estimate, not a guarantee inside each building or along every road.

Messages and calls in apps use your data. Standard calls, SMS and a local number need a separate mobile service.

Plan mobile data for your Latvia stops

The current Latvia fixed-data options list LMT and Tele2. Choose the allowance and active validity for your trip, then check the exact option’s current network and hotspot details. Available speed depends on the phone, plan, location and network conditions; the listed networks do not guarantee 5G everywhere.

Adding Estonia or Lithuania?

This Latvia option lists Latvia coverage. A Baltic itinerary through Estonia or Lithuania needs a current plan for those stops too. Compare separate country options or the current Europe range against the full itinerary; do not infer cross-border coverage from proximity or EU membership.

Read the two timing rules separately

The current fixed-data options checked on 3 October 2026 have 180 days to start after purchase. Active validity begins on first network connection and lasts for the days on the selected option. A 180-day start window is not automatically 180 days of active data.

These data-only options do not include a local number for ordinary calls or SMS. Check hotspot needs and phone compatibility before buying. Save the setup email before departure, then install or activate after landing on working airport Wi-Fi, or hotel Wi-Fi if needed.

Use the Latvia setup guide for arrival preparation. Estimate your daily data needs using recent phone usage. Australian-number calls and bank codes depend on your home provider and dual-SIM settings, separately from the travel data plan.
