The rules behind your travel rewards.
Effective 1 September 2026. Passport Club is a free rewards programme operated by The SIM Shop Pty Ltd.
1. Joining and accounts
Passport Club is free for customers with an account. Rewards stay with the account that earned them and are not transferable. Exact-email guest orders can be linked when that customer creates an account or signs in. One person should use one account. Travel Desk may ask for control of both email addresses and matching order details before correcting a duplicate account. Rewards cannot be sold, gifted or moved between customers.
2. What earns progress
An order counts when it is tied to the customer account, includes at least one travel eSIM, and has at least $25.00 of eligible eSIM value after discounts, credits and refunds. Shipping, tax and unrelated fees do not count. Progress is added once the eSIM is ready to use, rather than when payment is made.
Each qualifying order adds a stamp for its destination. Destination stamps are unique, so repeat travel to the same destination remains in Travel Passport and still builds qualifying order count and eligible spend, but contributes one unique destination stamp to rank progress.
Fully refunded, cancelled and failed orders do not count. A partial refund reduces the eligible value of that order and can change whether it clears the qualifying minimum or a rank threshold. Disputed, charged-back or ineligible value can also reverse related progress or rewards.
3. Ranks
Rank activity uses a rolling 365 days counted back from today. If activity ages out and the customer no longer meets the current threshold, a 30-day protection period applies before demotion. Destination history remains in Travel Passport.
The rank conditions are alternatives. Reaching any listed condition qualifies the customer for that rank, and the highest qualifying rank applies.
- First Stamp: Your starting rank when you join Passport Club.
- Gate Mate: At least 1 qualifying fulfilled order, or $25.00 rolling eligible spend.
- Side Quester: At least 2 qualifying fulfilled orders, or A$75 rolling eligible spend.
- Border Hopper: At least 3 unique destination stamps, 2 regional or multi-country eSIM stamps, 2 eSIMs in one qualifying order, or A$150 rolling eligible spend.
- Data Diplomat: At least 5 qualifying fulfilled orders, or A$300 rolling eligible spend.
- Passport Bro: At least 8 qualifying fulfilled orders, or A$500 rolling eligible spend.
4. Rewards and milestones
Rank rewards are issued once, the first time each rank is reached. If one order crosses several rank or destination milestones, every reward not already earned is issued. Data Diplomat adds two Signal Boosts. Three unique destinations adds an extra Landing Rescue Pass, and 3, 6, 9 and 12 unique destinations each add an extra Signal Boost.
- Gate Mate: 1 Landing Rescue Pass
- Side Quester: 1 Signal Boost
- Border Hopper: 1 Choose-Your-Drop
- Data Diplomat: 2 Signal Boosts
- Passport Bro: Passport Bro badge
- 3 unique destinations: 1 extra Landing Rescue Pass
- 3, 6, 9 and 12 unique destinations: 1 extra Signal Boost at each milestone
Landing Rescue Pass
A complimentary emergency data pass when something has gone wrong with your data overseas. It covers up to 1GB valid for 1 to 7 days, or a one day pass of up to 1GB, depending on what is available for the destination. In My Account, choose an eligible destination, review the exact complimentary plan and confirm that one pass will be used. That starts automatic fulfilment of a new eSIM with no manual approval step. The exact plan, reward eligibility and automatic fulfilment controls are checked again before the supplier request. Internet access is needed to redeem the pass and receive the setup details. Automatic fulfilment can still be delayed or unavailable.
Signal Boost
Up to A$15 off a bigger fixed-data plan for a destination already bought. Choose an eligible previous eSIM in My Account. Passport Club shows the exact next fixed-data plan and discount before you continue. Confirming starts a normal self-service checkout with the discount applied, with no manual approval step. The purchase supplies a new eSIM and does not change the one already installed. Daily and day pass plans are not included.
Choose-Your-Drop
Up to A$10 off one eligible travel eSIM order of at least $25.00. Select the reward in checkout and review the exact discount before payment. Confirming applies it in that self-service checkout, with no manual approval step. It is used in one go on a single order and does not combine with coupons, Mates Rates referral discounts, SIM Shop Credit or an active member price.
Passport Bro badge
The Passport Bro badge recognises the final rank. It does not expire and is not a discount or data allowance. It is added automatically when Passport Bro is reached and is not a reward to redeem.
5. Using rewards
Choose-Your-Drop is selected from Passport Club in My Account and applied by the signed-in customer at checkout, with the exact discount shown before payment. Signal Boost is started by the signed-in customer from Passport Club in My Account and creates a normal new-purchase checkout for the next eligible fixed-data tier. Neither reward needs manual approval. Signal Boost supplies a new eSIM and does not change an installed plan. Daily and day pass plans are not included. If there is no eligible next fixed-data tier, there is nothing to submit for review and the Signal Boost remains in the customer wallet.
Landing Rescue is redeemed from Passport Club in My Account. The customer chooses an eligible destination, reviews the exact complimentary data allowance and validity, then confirms that one Landing Rescue Pass will be used. Confirmation starts automatic fulfilment of a new eSIM, with no manual approval step. Internet access is required to redeem the pass and receive the eSIM.
The destination, exact plan, cost, reward eligibility and automatic fulfilment controls are checked again before the supplier request. If a definite failure occurs before any supplier request is attempted, the pass is returned to the customer wallet. Once a supplier request may have been attempted, the pass remains held while The SIM Shop reconciles the same redemption. It is not automatically returned or sent again. Once the eSIM has been issued and stored for the customer, the pass is used. A setup-email delay does not create another eSIM or return the pass, and the issued eSIM remains available through My Account. Automatic fulfilment can still be delayed or unavailable and is not guaranteed to be immediate.
Passport Club checkout rewards do not stack with coupons, Mates Rates referral discounts, SIM Shop Credit or an active member price in the same checkout.
6. Reward availability and privacy
Passport Club rewards do not expire. Once earned, a reward stays in the customer account until it is used or reversed because the order that earned it was refunded, cancelled, disputed or found to be ineligible.
Rank, progress, rewards and redemption history are private to the customer account. Reward availability can depend on the destination, plan catalogue and checkout conditions at the time the customer uses it.
7. Refunds, disputes and misuse
Fully refunded, cancelled and failed orders do not count. A partial refund reduces the eligible value of that order and can change whether it clears the qualifying minimum or a rank threshold. Disputed, charged-back or ineligible value can also reverse related progress or rewards. The SIM Shop may reverse progress or rewards connected to duplicated, fraudulent or abusive transactions. A reward already fulfilled may remain recorded as reversed for audit purposes.
8. Changes and consumer rights
The SIM Shop may change future earning rules, reward availability or programme operation. Any current customer-facing thresholds and conditions will be published on the Passport Club page and these terms. Plan changes, refunds and replacements stay separate from rights under Australian Consumer Law.
