Count Croatia phones and travel days together
If two of you are heading to Croatia, start with the two phones rather than one big data headline. A1 has a two-SIM promotion that can cost less than buying two shorter individual plans, while a longer stay may favour a fixed allowance with a later expiry; a spare profile doesn’t automatically add another ten days to the first one.
A short break for two phones, twenty days on one phone and fifty days with modest data use are three different purchases. Put the people, calling needs and final day beside the price so the unlimited label can go back to being one useful detail, rather than the whole explanation.
Local offers below were checked on 21 October 2026. We sell the travel-data options included here; our prices and terms were checked on 25 October. Local prices remain in euros, with ours in A$.
Start with the two-phone comparison
A1’s tourist offer advertises two SIM cards with ten days of unlimited 5G internet for €14.90, with eSIM and physical-SIM selections. Its individual three-day eSIM costs €10.90, so two of those total €21.80. For two compatible phones on a three-day Croatia visit, the advertised two-SIM package is €6.90 less than those two individual purchases, despite its longer period.
For the initial three-day and ten-day options, A1’s terms start the period with the first call or internet connection. That trigger does not establish a right to defer the promotional spare indefinitely.
At the 21 October check, the 1+1 eSIM offer’s public purchase page showed the named package and €14.90 total. We did not pay or test delivery to two phones. Confirm the issued profiles and device compatibility before relying on a connection for each traveller.
The tourist cards describe 100 minutes/SMS within Croatia. Keep that wording in mind when comparing calling, rather than reading it as 100 minutes plus another 100 texts, and do not treat international calls to Australia as included simply because the page advertises international rates. The advertised 5G also depends on the device, available signal and network load, rather than following you at the same speed everywhere.
Two SIMs do not establish twenty days on one number
The ten-day terms describe the promotion as a free second activated option when one €14.90 option is paid for. They do not describe it as twenty continuous days on one number or promise that the second profile can be held indefinitely for later use. A second SIM is a useful travel companion, but it has not secretly become a calendar extension.
For one phone on a twenty-day trip with an assumed 6 GB data budget, our 10 GB/30-day Croatia eSIM at A$27.95 covers the period and leaves 4 GB spare. That is a complete fixed-data choice without relying on delayed activation of a promotional spare. It does not include ordinary Croatian calls, so it fits the traveller whose communications are through data-based apps.
A longer stay can suit a fixed-data ninety-day allowance
A1’s Internet SIM 120 GB, displayed at €25, is a total allowance for 90 days from SIM activation. Its specific contract makes the full amount available at activation, excludes use outside Croatia and provides no rollover into the next period. It is not unlimited data and is not a fresh 120 GB each day.
For a fifty-day stay with an assumed 40 GB total requirement, that local allowance fits with 80 GB spare. Our 50 GB/180-day option at A$149.95 also covers those inputs, with 10 GB spare. Both fit the stated data and dates. Compare their actual card-charge totals too, since one price is in euros and the other in AUD.
The €25 buys 120GB for up to ninety days, rather than unlimited use for that whole period. If you use all 120GB by day twenty and the account has at least €25, the terms allow another €25 renewal then; qualifying later top-ups can also trigger one. Money left as account credit can therefore fund another charge, instead of being extra data already included.
Expiry and a later top-up can trigger different charges
The three-day contract provides for automatic renewal at the end of its period when the account can fund it. If insufficient balance deactivates the option, a later top-up within a month can reactivate it when the account credit exceeds the option fee, no other option has been activated before that top-up and the user has not sent the relevant automatic-reactivation stop request.
For that three-day option, D to 13220 requests deactivation when the current period ends. STOP to 13220, sent before a later top-up, concerns preventing the subsequent automatic reactivation. The ten-day contract describes the same distinction for its own option. These instructions concern the named local services, rather than cancellation of a SIM Shop order.
For ten-day continuation, A1’s FAQ quoted €12.90 and 10DAYS to 13220 at the 21 October check, but its ten-day PDF also contains ordinary and promotional fee lines that do not establish one renewal price across every variant. Before budgeting several renewals, get the price for the actual issued option. An initial term that covers the stay avoids relying on a renewal quote that may belong to a different variant.
A1 also advertises a €3 daily option through DAILY to 13220. Its daily terms are their own renewable one-day service, without the tourist cards’ ordinary calling allowance. A daily data extension is therefore not automatically a purchase of more national minutes.
What the SIM Shop selection provides
Our six Croatia eSIM options are set total data allowances:
| Total data | Validity | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 1 GB | 7 days | A$5.95 |
| 3 GB | 30 days | A$13.95 |
| 5 GB | 30 days | A$17.95 |
| 10 GB | 30 days | A$27.95 |
| 20 GB | 30 days | A$44.95 |
| 50 GB | 180 days | A$149.95 |
Their period starts on the first network connection, with no daily data reset. A1 and Tele2 are the listed network names, but a shared network name does not establish identical access, priority or speed to A1’s own retail service. Hotspot availability depends on the network and handset, so a second traveller needing independent data is better planned as a second service rather than an assumed unlimited sharing arrangement.
For twenty days of app-based travel on one phone, the 10 GB example above covers the stated need. For two phones on a short break, keep A1’s 1+1 offer in the comparison. If ordinary Croatian calls matter, include the actual voice allowance too; app data alone will not supply it.
Keep a border crossing out of the Croatia-only calculation
The A1 three-day, ten-day, daily and 120 GB terms exclude their included service abroad. An A1 logo in another country does not change that contract, and our Croatia-only selection does not add Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina or Montenegro either.
For a route that needs data across several countries, use our Europe buying guide to compare the actual country lists. For a SIM Shop purchase, buy before departure, save the delivery email and install after landing on working airport or hotel Wi-Fi, or another steady, trusted Wi-Fi connection, using our Croatia setup guide. Keep the final day and any onward stop with the plan details when you save them.
