Slow data needs a smaller diagnosis than a phone reset
Slow data is not automatically a broken eSIM. Signal, local congestion, the selected network, remaining allowance and fair-use terms can all matter. Start with the few checks that distinguish those possibilities before changing eSIM settings.
Set the travel line for data on your phone
iPhone
Open Settings > Mobile Service, Cellular or Mobile Data. Choose Mobile Data, select the travel eSIM, then open that travel line’s options only if the order email says it needs Data Roaming. Keep the Australian line’s Data Roaming off unless you deliberately use home-carrier roaming.
Samsung Galaxy
Open Settings > Connections > SIM card manager. Under Primary SIM or Preferred SIM card, select the travel eSIM for mobile data and switch Auto data switching off unless support says otherwise. The roaming control can vary by Galaxy model, so use it only when the order email identifies the travel line.
Google Pixel
Open Settings > Network & internet > SIMs. Under Your primary SIMs, choose the travel eSIM for Mobile data and keep Automatic data switching off unless support has advised otherwise. Follow the order email for the travel line’s roaming setting.
Other Android
Search Settings for SIM, mobile network or mobile data. Select the travel eSIM for data, keep automatic data switching off if the phone offers it, and use only the roaming or APN instructions supplied for your own order.
If it is still slow
Contact support with the order number, location, time and the setting you checked. Keep a cropped screenshot ready if it shows the issue, but do not send private setup details unless support asks.
Do not turn a small fault into a larger one
- If an eSIM is already installed, do not delete it as a first response. Keep it in place, take a screenshot and make one reversible check at a time.
- Do not assume a speed, a daily reset time or that ‘unlimited’ means uncapped high speed.
- Do not treat disclosed fair-use reduction as a fault without checking plan facts.
What to include when you contact support
Contact us with the order number, country and city, exact phone model and the one check you have just completed. If a screenshot helps, crop it to the travel-line setting or error and hide QR and activation details. Keep the eSIM installed while we check the order.
