Bali and Indonesia eSIM Setup After Arrival

Save your accommodation address, transfer meeting point and booking reference offline before departure. If you are heading from the airport to Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur or Ubud, a locally saved address is useful while a Wi-Fi sign-in or network registration is still being resolved.

Check the exact phone model and unlock status. Keep the setup email accessible on the intended phone and decide how you will open its QR code or supported same-device/manual option. Do not scan, tap quick install or enter the activation details before departure.

1. Connect to airport Wi-Fi and complete its sign-in page. Open a normal webpage to confirm internet access. If it does not work reliably, wait for hotel Wi-Fi or another trusted steady connection.
2. Open the setup email for this order on the intended phone. Use the current iPhone, Samsung or Pixel installation instructions for that device.
3. Select the installed travel line for mobile data. Keep automatic data switching off unless support specifically advises otherwise.
4. Keep Australian-line data roaming off unless you deliberately chose the Australian carrier’s service. Turn roaming on for the travel line only when its order instructions require it.
5. Use the exact supplied APN if one is required. APN is the phone’s internet connection setting. Do not copy a setting from a different Indonesia plan or supplier.
6. Once installed, test mobile data with Wi-Fi temporarily off, then restore Wi-Fi if you still need it. Confirm a webpage or map loads before leaving the setup location.

Indonesia plans can use different networks and have different data and start-date rules. A plan’s listed days tell you how long it runs once started, not how long you can wait before starting. Unlimited also does not promise a particular speed or confirm laptop sharing. Keep the email for the plan you bought.

For Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Penida, Lombok or the Gili Islands, save ferry details, meeting points and your next address before setting out. These are Indonesian destinations, but a country coverage label is not a reception guarantee at every beach, villa or trail. It also does not promise service during a boat crossing.

Check the selected network for each planned stop. An extra country on the trip, such as Singapore, needs its own inclusion check; do not assume an Indonesia plan covers a stopover abroad.

Confirm the travel line is enabled and selected for data, then follow its own roaming and APN instructions. Allow time for network registration. If needed, toggle Aeroplane Mode briefly and try again. Keep the profile installed while support checks the problem; deleting it or repeatedly scanning the QR code may complicate recovery.

Contact support with the order reference, phone model, software version, destination and the visible error. Do not send activation credentials or identity documents in a public post.

Can I install the eSIM while still in Australia?

For SIM Shop plans, buy and save the email before departure, then install or activate after landing using working Wi-Fi. Supplier capability to preinstall does not change this setup guidance.

Does switching to Nusa Lembongan or Lombok restart my plan?

Do not assume a move to another island restarts validity or renews data. The exact plan’s running duration and allowance rules continue to apply. Check local coverage and save boat-transfer information offline.

Will my Australian number still receive bank codes?

The travel data plan does not receive carrier SMS for your Australian number. That depends on your phone, Australian provider, overseas support and account settings. Check the bank-code guidance and possible charges before travel.
