Unlimited eSIM for Bali and Indonesia: when the extra cost makes sense

For your own trip, use Plan my trip with the dates, usual phone activities and any sharing. Include uploads and video rather than counting only maps and WhatsApp. The example below uses stated assumptions, so you can replace them with your own use rather than treating 7.5GB as a Bali holiday average.

If you’d rather pay to avoid monitoring a total bucket, that’s a reasonable preference. It still leaves the expiry, coverage and device setup to get right, and a connection at a particular beach, villa or on a boat isn’t guaranteed by the country inclusion.

For example, ten days at 0.5GB a day plus 1GB of uploads comes to 6GB. Add a 25% buffer once and the budget is 7.5GB.

We have not confirmed whether you can share this plan’s data with a laptop, or what limits the network or your devices might impose. We do not add a separate sharing limit ourselves, but that does not tell you whether sharing will work.

If laptop data is essential, tell us the Indonesia plan, your phone model and what you need to connect before buying. Get that sharing requirement confirmed first; phone data working on its own does not answer the laptop question.

For that 7.5GB example, our Indonesia range lists 10GB/30 days for A$17.95. It leaves 2.5GB beyond the buffered budget. Seven days of unlimited costs A$36.95, but it is a different purchase on both price and duration.

The seven-day unlimited offer is too short for that ten-day example, as well as costing more. Choose an unlimited duration that reaches the final day if that’s the service you want; a larger allowance doesn’t extend the active period.

For thirty days, unlimited costs A$113.95 and the 50GB plan, also valid for thirty days, costs A$49.95. That is A$64 less if 50GB covers your use. Paying for unlimited removes the total data limit on your phone; it does not buy a stronger signal.

You have 60 days from purchase to start this unlimited plan. Its days begin when the eSIM first connects to a supported mobile network, and you cannot add more data to this plan later. Choose enough days for the full stay, use our compatibility checker to check your exact phone, and save the email before flying.

Install after landing on Wi-Fi that can load a normal webpage, following the order’s own settings. If airport Wi-Fi won’t work, use hotel Wi-Fi or another steady trusted connection. A data-only eSIM doesn’t supply ordinary calls or SMS, so keep any Australian-number requirement with the home carrier’s overseas terms.
