Use the Europe data planner at the top of this guide: enter your dates and choose the travel style closest to your expected use. You'll get a rough data estimate and, when a suitable offer is available, a plan suggestion. The worked trips below show how to turn a 3.8GB, 8GB or 18.8GB budget into a purchase.
The planner's Europe destination refers to the current 32-country offer. London, Paris and Rome fit that list; Morocco and Monaco don't. The country check below explains those boundaries.
Check the stops, not the continent's name
The current Europe plan lists 32 countries, including the UK, Switzerland and Turkey. Morocco, Serbia, Monaco and Guernsey aren't included in that list. Check each stop before comparing allowance sizes.
For London, Paris and Rome, one current allowance can be shared across the included countries. For a trip adding Morocco, budget the Morocco connection separately or choose another offer that explicitly covers the route. Buying 20GB rather than 10GB doesn't add a country.
The historical Europe ranges had different lists. If you already bought one, use your issued plan and the reference below. Its country count is not today's product specification.
Decide what the laptop will do
A laptop connection is a separate requirement, not just “a bit more phone data”. Count its uploads, calls and downloads in the budget, and confirm the selected plan's hotspot suitability. The fixed Europe offers compared below say hotspot may depend on your phone and the local network.
Our current range also includes unlimited options with their own terms. Compare fixed and unlimited data if you expect sustained use. Paying for unlimited doesn't by itself establish the hotspot allowance, speed or duration you need.
Make a budget you can explain
The planner gives you a starting point without requiring a spreadsheet. To refine it, use your phone's per-app mobile-data totals over a period you understand. Add extra music, video or laptop use only if it wasn't already counted. The table below shows exactly how a daily assumption becomes a full-trip allowance.
These are worked assumptions, not consumption claims about European transport or maps:
| Trip example | Daily assumption | Reserve | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seven days, downloads kept on Wi-Fi | 0.4GB × 7 | 1GB | 3.8GB |
| Fourteen days moving between cities | 0.5GB × 14 | 1GB | 8GB |
| Twenty-one days with more uploads | 0.8GB × 21 | 2GB | 18.8GB |
If your own counter suggests a higher daily amount, use it. A long trip doesn't automatically use more data each day, but it gives background activity more days to add up.
Compare the budget with current offers
Selected SIM Shop Europe total-data offers checked on 30 October 2026:
| Allowance | Active validity | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 5GB | 30 days | A$19.95 |
| 10GB | 30 days | A$31.95 |
| 20GB | 30 days | A$55.95 |
The 3.8GB example fits 5GB. The 8GB example fits 10GB. The 18.8GB example fits 20GB with only 1.2GB remaining, so decide whether that reserve is enough for your needs before choosing it.
All three selected offers must start within 60 days of purchase. Active validity begins separately at first supported-network connection. They contain one total allowance and stop providing data when it is exhausted.
For a 35-day trip, none of these selected 30-day plans lasts to the final day. Don't buy one expecting unused data to extend it. Tell us the full dates before purchase so we can identify an available arrangement for the extra five days; any second service may need its own eSIM installation.
Make the allowance last for the work you need
Before departure, download the maps, tickets and media you can prepare. Set photo backup and large updates to Wi-Fi if you don't want them in the mobile budget. Check the data counter during the trip so you can adjust early rather than discover the problem while changing trains.
Save the setup email, then install after landing on working airport Wi-Fi. If that connection fails, use hotel Wi-Fi or another steady trusted connection. Keep your Australian line's data roaming off unless you've deliberately chosen its carrier service, and follow the travel plan's issued settings.

Previously issued Europe range: historical reference
The following records describe the retired Europe range checked on 19 July 2026. They help identify an older purchase and are not current offers or instructions to buy. The country list and example amounts below are preserved from that record; your order email and issued plan govern your own service.
Recorded country and territory list: Austria, Åland Islands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Iceland, Italy, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, North Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine.
| Recorded example | Recorded price |
|---|---|
| 1GB, seven days | A$8.95 |
| 5GB, 30 days | A$29.95 |
| 20GB, 90 days | A$99.95 |
The historical 41-destination range and today's 32-country range have different coverage. Do not carry an older Morocco, Guernsey or other inclusion into a new purchase. For a new trip, use the current Europe product.
